Does anyone know where I can get a semi-inexpensive set of poi? I'm just starting out and I don't work so i don't have much money.

Re: Buying Poi
Fri, August 18, 2006 - 12:21 AMmaking them is the cheepest and mark or silence can help with supplies and the building process.
i like my new ones from flamea eternae a lot, and renegade juggling also makes good stuff, both have websites so that you can shop around and are in the states so shipping should be faster and cheeper:) -

Still 37.50 though. I think you should ask Silence when we're back from the maddness. Or make a set. You could buy kevlar from Silence or Mark and ask any of us to talk you through it. For the chains etc you could borrow someone's poi and go to the hardware store and find what you need.
I think even making them you may end up around $35-40, so you may want to consider buying your first set. Until then, you are welcome to borrow mine and try out a burn sometime at practice:)

Fri, August 18, 2006 - 5:17 PMAt the moment I'm thinking of trying to make my own, cuz I can't afford a $35-$40 set of poi. -

Re: Buying Poi
Fri, April 20, 2007 - 8:05 PMWell... I've got some parts and lots of Kevlar... the hardware store has the rest. Here is going to be a Sunday Community Fire Art Practice this Sunday. I'll bring the poi making gear that I have.
